Creating space that goes beyond the limited space of a brochure. Brochures are more than just a piece of paper it is a great intro to the company. We design to motivate and capture a target
audience and have them want to learn more about our product and service.
My idea was to recreate a Top China a Chinese restaurant brochure located in Central Florida.
Who Are the Users
The users are customers that want to explore the menu of this restaurant.
I researched by visiting collecting my competitors brochures designing a more intriguing brochure.
Then analyzed the shapes and elements of the brochure. I broke down these elements into a minimal black and white space.
I did the same with my brochure to create a strong balance of negative and positive space that was interesting and useful for the customer. I made sure the brochure sections worked together
and individually with a great visual balance.
Progressing from a minimal design; I added color then texture.
Finally I added emphasis and color value to the overall composition. The challenging part about this project was creating a dominant page in the tri-fold brochure.
For the Future
The next step is to expand the range of creativity with bold colors, typography, and UX/UI design. UX/UI is important for usability and value to creative design.
