Newsletter

I will be designing a newsletter that shows that kids are more than able to be

good influences with easy campaigns that can help them in school and in life.

The organization gives volunteer hours, scholarships and rewards for

members.

 

Objective

 

The project is creating a newsletter that will have young people interested in

social impact campaigns. I am promoting a few articles that are displayed on

their website and I will be organizing the content to cater to the young

audience.

 

Who Are the Users

 

The project is creating a newsletter that will have young people ages 13-23

interested in social impact campaigns. I am promoting a few articles that are

displayed on their website and I will be organizing the content to cater to the

gen z audiences.

 

Process

 

The first step in the process was to assessing the competition. Scholarship

websites and non-profit organizations that promote anti bullying and

empowering young people in their communities.

 

Then I researched the brand guidelines for the format, patterns and fonts and

colors for the newsletter, and designed a competitive newsletter.

 

Finally I created the content for newsletter using the Dosomething.org articles

for this week(s) relevant topic.

Fonts and Colors

The fonts use are Source Sans Pro for all headings and body.  Then font,

Covered By Your Grace as the “voice” of DoSomething.org.

The Main colors of the brand are cmyk:

 Blue

c=86%,m= 27%,y= 0%,k= 2% 

 Purple

 c=21%,m= 57%, y=0%, k=61%

Yellow

 c=0%, m=17%,y= 91%,k= 1%

 

For the Future

 

The next step is to expand the range of creativity with bold

colors, typography, and UX/UI design. UX/UI is important

for usability and value to creative design.
