Designing Weekly Business Flyers
I created three business flyers that would work together and individually for Tarpon Spring Library. These weekly flyers are for patrons that will be attending both in person and virtually.
Designing Weekly Business Flyers
Client
SCORE Pasco-Hernando is dedicated to helping our small business owners and entrepreneurs succeed. We provide free, expert mentoring, counseling clients on the many facets of running a business.
Problem
The Tarpon Springs Library wants to increase patrons attending score’s business event. They need three flyers for the following weeks that work together and can be used to promote these events individually.
Task
I created 2 event flyers that are for each separate month than 1 event flyer showing all the events, using branding guidelines of Tarpon Spring Library.
Thinking Progress
My first thought when creating the flyers for tarpon springs was to pay attention to the previous templates and the recent flyers that are being used.
Secondly, I wanted to understand the target audience
- Adults – Seniors
- Middle Class
- Males Dominate
- Business Oriented
Third, I wanted to organize content clearly that highlighted features of the events and develop a hierarchy of information.
Lastly, I created a few drafts and finalized the flyers after receiving feedback.
Concept
The Flyer Design was inspired by the previous flyers and followed brand guidelines of Tarpon Springs.
The logo is from score a non profit organization that mentors business owners and entrepreneurs.
The font choice is League Spartan for headings open sans extra for key words and Montserrat light for paragraphs.
The hierarchy is a header and logo on the top of the page. Then an action call below the green line. Then the key points inside a 1/1 banner. Followed by a green block for each title of event. The events are side by side showing a small picture on the left and the dates on the right side. Below are context of the events.
Color Theory
Green – It is a dominant color in nature that makes you think of growth.
Blue – Businesses that want to project an image of security often utilize blue in their advertising and marketing efforts.
Purple – Purple makes you feel creative.
Conclusion
To conclude the flyers have attracted 7 people and are still counting both online and virtually. The events will take place throughout October and November. The score non profit is continuing to work with the library and wants to work on more projects together.
